(Business in Cameroon) - Boost the production, improve distribution networks and, ultimately, industrialise the mango sector in Cameroon. This is the goal of Germany through GIZ, and Israel, two partners who are currently working towards this goal with the Cameroonian Ministry of Agriculture.

It is in this regard that Yuval Fuchs, Deputy Managing Director of Mashav, the Israeli International Development Agency, just completed a visit to Cameroon. According to our sources, he came, among other things, to enquire about the progress of a project for the creation of plant nurseries meant to produce about 400,000 mango and pumpkin plants in the towns of Mbankomo and Binguela, in the Central region.

These seedlings will be distributed to producers, with the ambition of significantly increasing the production volumes of mangoes in Cameroon; a country where these fruits are abundant during the mango season, then are rarely seen once this season is over.
