(Business in Cameroon) - 54 producer organisations in the Extreme-North and Northern regions have just received some support from the Programme for the Improvement of Competitiveness in family and agricultural farms (Acefa). In the Northern region, 37 producer organisations received slightly over FCfa 127 million to boost their agricultural and livestock activities.

In the Extreme-North, the Acefa programme made available a total of FCfa 63 million to producers. The financial support from the State is between FCfa 500,000 to 6 million for producer groups and between FCfa 5 million and 30 million for professional organisations.

Financed with C2D funds, the Acefa programme, co-pilotd by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, is meant to “increase revenues of family operators through the improved competitiveness of their farms”.
