A palm oil processing unit was inaugurated in the Central region

(Business in Cameroon) - Ernest Ngwaboubou, the Cameroonian minister of mines, industry and technological development, just inaugurated a palm oil processing unit in Sombo, a district in Central Cameroon.

The minister explained that the processing unit, with a production capacity of two tons per hour, is the result of a program to promote the cultivation and processing of palm oil in Central and West Africa and, it cost around CFA1 billion. 

He then revealed that, in the framework of this program, three other processing units will be built in the English speaking regions of the country.
