“(Business in Cameroon) - Protection of national industry, a must or not: key features to standardization and regulation”. This is the topic of the next edition of GICAM’s (Groupement inter-patronal du Cameroon) traditional diner-debate which will be held in Douala on 11 November 2015.

According to the grouping, the meeting aims “to introduce participants to Cameroon’s industrial politics, discuss about possible actions and measures to take so as to protect the local industry on the short, medium and long term; share about standardization and explore possibilities it holds as a political instrument in industrial development”.

During this diner-debate, the new minister of mines, industry and technological development, Ernest Ngwaboubou, will introduce to economic operators the policy for the promotion and protection of Cameroon’s industry, while the Director General of Agency for standards and quality (ANOR in French) for its parts, will talk about the benefits of standardization on industrial development.
