(Business in Cameroon) - Egis International-Egis Cameroon has just been announced as the winner of the project foreman deal to build the West Douala road intended to ease traffic between Cameroon’s economic capital and the West and South-West regions.

According to the official press release by the Minister of Public Works, Abba Sadou, the deal is worth 1.947 trillion FCFA and must be completed in 32 months.

In July 2014, the Cameroonian government had given the 13 km road construction deal to Sogea-Satom for a total of 51 billion FCFA. Financing is expected from the French Development Agency and the Cameroonian government.
