(Business in Cameroon) - Studies related to the project for the construction of a 2nd bridge linking Chad to Cameroon, particularly in the towns of Yagoua and Bongor, are available. Carried out by the firm Egis International, they were recently presented during a workshop held in Yaoundé, the Cameroonian capital.

This is an important step in this trans-border project, which should help to boost exchanges in the CEMAC zone, mainly between Cameroon and Chad. The overall cost for this bridge, the 2nd of its kind after the Ngueli bridge, linking the towns of Kousséri (Cameroon) and Ndjamena (Chad), is estimated at FCfa 76 billion.

Aside from the Cameroonian and Chadian governments, who will provide funding for this structure, the African Development Bank (AfDB) has already shown its intention of injecting funds in this integrating project.
