(Business in Cameroon) - Three months. That is the deadline the CUD or Urban Community of Douala set for the full rehabilitation of the street lighting in the economic capital. To achieve this, call to tenders for four distinct projects with an overall amount of 27 billion FCFA were launched, says the Government Delegate, Fritz Ntone Ntone.

Works on these projects include the laying of electric wires underground, changing deteriorated equipment, installing street lamps... on all the main roads of Douala.

This announcement by Douala’s town hall happens in an environment characterized by repeated power shortages which are due to the rehabilitation of the distribution network Cameroon’s public power provider, Eneo, started a few weeks ago.
