(Business in Cameroon) - According to the Managing Director of Société camerounaise des dépôts pétroliers (SCDP), the company increased sales by 44% from 2009-2013. Gaston Essomba Eloundou made this revelation on November 14, 2014 in Douala at the post acceptance ceremony for the new Administrative Director of the Cameroonian para-public company, Florent Frimat.

At the same event, the SCDP announced that it had a cumulated net result of 12.69 billion FCFA for the same period. Profits peaked in 2011 (3.9 billion FCFA) and 2013 (3.3 billion FCFA), stated the Managing Director.

An authorised source has indicated that this performance was possible because of the oil product storage company’s operational capacities being improved. Indeed, from 2010 to 2013, the SCDP built four 24,000 m3 oil product reservoirs.
