(Business in Cameroon) - On January 18, 2018, CGG, a French company specialized in subsurface exploration, announced that it has signed an agreement with SNH for the promotion of eight oil blocks to international oil and gas companies.

The eight blocks, located onshore and offshore in Rio del Rey and Douala/Kribi-Campo sedimentary basins, will be presented to potential explorers in London and Houston from January 15 to June 29, 2018.

The 2018 licensing round offers interesting opportunities to the international oil and gas industry to add strategic locations with significant potential in proven reserves in Cameroon. In partnership with SNH, CGG will find interested oil and gas companies which will concentrate on identifying the prospectivity of the available blocks”, Jean-Georges, CGG’s CEO said.
