– (Business in Cameroon) - Preparations are gearing up in the country ahead of the laying of the foundation stone for the second bridge on River Wouri, Douala, Littoral Region, on a date yet to be announced. Senior government officials have been taking turns to visit the site of the expected ceremony to evaluate the state of advancement of preparatory work.

After the Deputy Director of Civil Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic, Joseph LE, visited the site last week, Public Works Minister, Patrice Amba Salla took the relay on Tuesday September 17, 2013.

Reports say Minister Amba Salla inspected ongoing work on the site by those constructing the tribunes as well as by the hygiene and sanitation company, Hysacam, which is working round the clock to keep the environment clean. Talking to the press, Mr Amba Salla, said work was progressing normally and that the calendar is being respected.
