Yaoundé: Agriculture and Transports on the table during Cameroon-Brazil Economic Forum

(Business in Cameroon) - Converging with a visit by Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Luiz Lecker Vieira, a Cameroon-Brazil economic forum was recently held in Yaoundé, Cameroon’s capital city. The Brazilian diplomat came to deliver Cameroon’s President, Paul Biya, an official invitation by his Brazilian counterpart to attend the opening ceremony of the 2016 Olympic Games which are to be held in Rio de Janeiro.

According to sources, the forum which gathered representatives of economic operators and those of the agency for investments promotion was centered on opportunities to develop the Cameroon-Brazil cooperation in the Transports and Agriculture sectors.

As a matter of facts, regarding Agriculture, Cameroon’s Minister Essimi Menyé expressed his awe for Brazil’s experience in Cassava processing, as well as the country’s progress in terms of fruit juice production. Cameroon’s representatives were also interested in urban and interurban transports equipment used in Brazil.
