(Business in Cameroon) - The 2017 session of the inter-ministerial programme review committee (Comité Interministériel d’Examen des Programmes - CIEP), organ within which the different programmes to be included in the next State budget are examined, was the occasion to once again raise the deployment of Sigipes II, a tool allowing the definitive clean up of the management of State personnel.

Indeed, according to members of CIEP, this tool dedicated to merging the salary database managed by the Ministry of Finance, and the personnel database managed by the Ministry of Civil Service, should be deployed "within the shortest possible time", in order to increase transparency in civil servants salaries.

Announced a year ago, deployment of Sigipes II, according to governmental authorities, should result in putting an end to the different fraud perpetrated in the Civil Service salary database, and which makes the State lose several billions of francs CFA each year.
