(Business in Cameroon) - The 2016 edition of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations kicks off this 19 November in the Cameroonian capital. For the opening match, the Indomitable Lionesses are meeting Egypt, a team with whom they share the group A, based in Yaoundé, with South Africa and Zimbabwe.

In group B, based in Limbé, in the South-Western region, we can find the national team of Nigeria, seven times African champions, with Ghana, Mali and Kenya. The battle in this group begins on 20 November 2016.

To host this competition, Cameroon got a brand new stadium in Limbé, while the Yaoundé Omnisport stadium, home of the Cameroonian football, was fully refurbished.

The 2016 Women’s AfCON will be a test for Cameroon, in anticipation of the organisation of the men’s competition which the country will host in 2019.
