(Business in Cameroon) - According to the outgoing Turkish ambassador Omer Farouk Dogan, Cameroon’s government and Turkey are to sign a funding agreement, for the construction of an institute for the promotion of innovation, creativity, science and technology.

During a farewell meeting at the Ministry for Scientific Research and Innovation, the Turkish diplomat, whilst not mentioning the funding amount, revealed that Türc Eximbank was the one to provide it.

Omer Farouk Dogan believes that the Institute will make Cameroon “a reference in Central Africa”, in terms of innovation and development of science and technology. Throughout the Turkish ambassador’s office in Cameroon, the bond between both countries strengthened as proven by Turkey’s sizeable funding to Cameroon.
