(Business in Cameroon) - A high-level meeting of western and central African police chiefs was held, from October 10 to 11, in Yaoundé, Cameroon’s capital. This meeting initiated by the International Criminal Police Organization (ICPO-INTERPOL) was aimed to plan new measures to fight terrorism in Central and West Africa.

Jorgen Stock, secretary general of Interpol ensured that in regards to the deterioration of the security environment in these two sub-regions, INTERPOL has decided to coordinate its efforts with the regions’ member states.

Let’s remind that ICPO-INTERPOL is one of the oldest international organizations that was created after World War II. It developed a data-exchange system (I-24/7) to share information with police officers in real time.
