(Business in Cameroon) - The pan-African banking group Ecobank and telecom company Orange have announced that they intend to launch a money transfer service in several African countries where they currently operate.

The partnership will enable Orange Money and Ecobank clients to do money transfers from their cellular phones to their bank accounts and vice versa.

Already available in Mali, the service is scheduled to be launched in Cameroon in the first half of 2015. Customers of both mobile companies in Guinea, in Niger, in Senegal and in the DRC will also be able to benefit from the new service.
