Cameroonians are officially eligible for Indian e-visa

(Business in Cameroon) - The Cameroonian ministry of foreign affairs (Minex) informs that the Indian honorary consul in Douala has just officialized Cameroon’s eligibility for Indian e-visa.

According to the Minex, Cameroonian tourists which hold a passport and want to travel to India are no more required to go to the Indian consulate in Douala for a physical visa. Thus, Cameroon officially joins the countries whose citizen can get an Indian e-visa. It must be highlighted that this visa was already available for Cameroonians but some airlines operating locally used not to board passengers who held it, under the pretext that they had not yet received any official notification in this regard.

Henceforth, Cameroonians requesting a visa online must do that at least four days prior to the arrival. The e-visa is only valid for 30 days and for a single entry. During the trip, the traveler must carry a copy of this visa and, once in India, biometric fingerprints and pictures will be taken by immigration services.
