Investments in accommodations
| Tourism |
Because of its great wealth of tourism interest, Cameroon must invest in a competitive accommodation system to cope with the massive inflow of tourists.
The Cameroonian government took steps to bring the accommodation capacity of Cameroon at international standards. Among these measures, there is the census, launched in 2007 to list the hotels and ensure compliance of the services offered.
This campaign of the Minister of Tourism, El Hadj Baba Hamadou was clearly intended "to align the Cameroonian hotels with international standards." Government inspection teams have traveled around the country to visit almost 300 hotels to achieve a reclassification, 22 years after the one made in 1985. This will enable offering a high quality of services and rates consistent with actual benefits of hotel facilities. The tourism administration has withdrawn the stars at some major hotels, forcing them to improve their services significantly, allowing the hotel sector in Cameroon to deserve a better shine.
Review of diversity
A little review in a glance: dense forest in the South, which serves as a vast reservoir of biodiversity and eco-tourism; towards the center, visitors are dazzled by the purity of the savanna where people live in the secular culture, expressed in works of art of diverse nature; to the coast, the tourist visit with pleasure the vast plains of the savannah that borders a long coastline open to the Atlantic, where you can leisurely observe or be lulled by the waves.
Between the southern and the northern parts there are the steppes with a natural dream like architecture of rocks, and a mountain range that runs through much of the country, peaking at over 4000 meters. This exclusive charm of the country of Tameless Lions makes it a country that has gathered invaluable assets.
