(Business in Cameroon) - Under maintenance in South Africa, one of the Boeing 737 of Camair Co, the Cameroonian public airline, was seized by a renter who claims unpaid rental fees from the company, we learned from reliable sources.

This new case reveals once more that the Cameroonian public airline is facing huge financial difficulties, which worsen with time. Indeed, according to Eloi Cyrille Tollo, former manager in this company, the monthly turnover of Camair Co currently ranges between FCfa 400 and 500 million per month, while the charges of the company, for their part, peak at FCfa 5 billion every month.

Launched in early 2011, this airline has just replaced its 5th MD in 5 years, is crushed by a debt which today exceeds the amount of FCfa 35 billion announced at the beginning of the year, and exclusively survives thanks to financial support from the State, its sole shareholder.
