(Business in Cameroon) - On January 12, 2018, a warning message informed that some brands of non-compliant refined vegetable oils such as La Perla, Girasole, Nuvaga, Mouna or Promex, are distributed in Cameroon. The message has been signed by Fongod Edwin, Director-General of Customs at the ministry of finance.

So, Fongod Edwin invites “all the operational units at port and airport platforms and at borders” to maintain “maximum vigilance” during checks and seize all the non-compliant products.

Finally, the director-general asks his collaborators to require a certificate of compliance, delivered by the agency of standard and quality (Agence des normes et de la qualité-ANOR), from the importers before they wind-up any of the clearances.
