(Business in Cameroon) - In July 2019, the banana exporters operating in Cameroon shipped 17,752 tons of the product. This is 4,231 tons higher than the shipments exported during the same period in 2018. Let’s note that this performance is achieved despite the suspension of the second operator in that market (CDC).

As usual, Plantations du Haut Penja (PHP), local subsidiary of French Compagnie fruitière de Marseille exported most of the country’s July 2019 banana. Indeed, during the period under review, PHP exported 16,279 tons, up from the 8,672 tons exported in July 2018. Boh Plantations, the minnows of that sector, exported 1,473 tons against 803 tons a year earlier.
