(Business in Cameroon) - The Commercial Bank of Cameroon (CBC) has just opened the very first ATM receiving cash deposits at its brand new branch in Kribi, a seaside town in the southern region of Cameroon, we learnt. CBC thus becomes the first bank to deploy this type of ATM in the country.

The launching of this facility was made possible thanks to an application designed by the Douala-based startup Iwomi Technologies. The latter provides to the general public and financial institutions “innovative, revolutionary and secure solutions that make banking and financial services more accessible, affordable and available”.

“We are grateful that CBC trusts our startup to implement this major project. We remain ready and we are eager to help any other bank or financial institution to deploy such a solution,” said a manager of the fintech company.
