GUCE and CAMPOST ease the life of economic operators by signing a partnership agreement

(Business in Cameroon) - On February 28, 2018, Cameroon’s one-stop shop for external trade transactions (GUCE) and Cameroon Postal Services (Campost) signed a partnership agreement allowing the public postal service to receive the fees for external trades (exports, imports, and transit).

Through this agreement, GUCE wants to facilitate the payment to economic operators by using CAMPOST’s 300 offices nationwide. Indeed, these operators were, most of the time, obliged to travel a long distance before they reach a banking agency.

According to GUCE, this partnership with CAMPOST, whose offices are connected to the internet (thanks to the E-Post project), is particularly directed towards economic operators who operate in border areas.
