Indian WPIL secures a contract to supply drinking water to 20 towns in Cameroon

(Business in Cameroon) - The Cameroonian government, via the Department of Water and Energy, has just signed a contract with the Indian company WPIL for the design, rehabilitation and construction of drinking water supply systems in 20 Cameroonian cities.

Valued at XAF34 billion, the project is set to cover the Central, Coastal, West, North-West, South-West and South regions. WPIL Limited, whose local partner is Nkah Engineering Group, said it has more than 65 years of experience in the design, development, manufacture, construction, commissioning and maintenance of pumps and pumping systems.

“After consolidating its position as a leading pump and pumping systems company in India, the company has expanded its operations globally and now has manufacturing operations in United Kingdom, Italy, France, Switzerland, South Africa, Zambia, Australia and Thailand through its Group of companies,”  WPIL Limited said.
