(Business in Cameroon) - Last September 1, Adrien Béchonnet (photo) officially became the new Managing Director of Total Cameroon after Imrane Barry who was holding this position since 3 September, 2015, stepped down, we learnt.

The new manager, former MD of the Togolese branch of Total Group (since August 2015), will therefore lead the leading company in Cameroon’s oil products distribution sector. In 2015, the company owned 170 gas stations across the country.

Let’s mention that new operators are entering the sector, increasing the market competition. These include Oilibya, which acquired Mobil’s distribution network, and Tradex, subsidiary of the national oil company (SNH).
