Cameroon: Four vacancies at Douala investment corporation SMID

(Business in Cameroon) - The Metropolitan Investment Corporation of Douala (SMID) has just launched a tender to recruit a Managing Director, a finance and administration manager, a director of promotion, marketing and public relations, as well as an operations manager.

Recently, the company has succeeded in raising XAF5.4 billion on the Douala Stock Exchange to build its capital, as part of a fundraising arranged by EDC Investment Corporation, local unit of Ecobank. Aggregate amount sought is XAF10 billion.

In the long term, SMID aims to mobilize a total budget of XAF1,400 billion to set up a number of major projects in the Cameroonian economic capital. Are listed the construction of the International Conference Center of Douala (valued at XAF12.4 billion), the Bonabéri multimodal bus station (XAF1.9 billion), the Bessékè valley urban forest (XAF2.29 billion), the Douala exhibition center (CFAF 8.5 billion), etc.

Let’s note that SMID was created to support the development of the Cameroonian economic capital.
