Winner of 2019 Total Challenge Startupper finally unveiled

(Business in Cameroon) - The first award winner of the 2019 edition of Challenge Startupper, a project contest organized by oil company Total Cameroon was finally unveilled. Of the three finalists, the grand prize went to twin brothers Frédéric and Benjamin Belibi who competed with a used tire recycling project for Pneupur startup.

The duo received a check of XAF8 million. They will also benefit from tailored support with local big training schools and firms, as well as a broad communication campaign that will give greater visibility to the winning project.

The second award, a check of XAF5 million, went to Conrad Tankou, whose project called Gicmed consists in the creation of a telemedicine platform and a digital microscope enabling specialists to remotely diagnose breast cancer.

3rd prize (XAF3 million) went to Roseline Edwige Melingui Ayissi, who has a project that involves cleaning up cities at reduced costs, thanks to a network of collectors and recyclers.

As a reminder, for the 2016 edition, the contest winner was Alain Nteff, with his GiftedMom application. At the time, first prize award was XAF12.5 million.
