(Business in Cameroon) - In May 2019, Cameroon’s exports of plywood to Canada surged strongly, the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) informs. This helped boost Canada’s imports of plywood by 38% during the period under review.

Canada’s plywood imports from Brazil and Ecuador have also increased since the start of 2019, the ITTO adds.

However, the same source reveals, even though Cameroon, Ecuador and Brazil’s exports of plywood to Canada progressively rose since January 2019, they are still below the volume exported by many of Canada’s suppliers.
