(Business in Cameroon) - The Cultural Office of the French Embassy in Cameroon has just launched new master's and doctoral scholarships for Cameroonian students wishing to pursue studies in France.

“These scholarships are awarded for doctoral research stays and more exceptionally for master's degrees. In 2019, doctoral scholarships will be awarded mainly through partnerships with French research institutes,” said the diplomatic representation in Yaoundé. Eligible applicants must be Cameroonian nationals, under 26 years of age for master's degree and under 32 for doctorate.

The focus areas include health, environment and climate, biodiversity and conservation, sustainable development, oceanography and coastal areas, geomatics and remote sensing, governance (law, political science, etc.) and cultural development.

“The French institutes will send the application files directly to the Cooperation Department before 29 March 2019 for doctoral scholarships. Students cannot apply directly for a master's scholarship,” the embassy specified. Are prioritized, applications from Cameroonian higher education institutions.

The application form can be downloaded from the website of the French Embassy in Cameroon. It must be printed and submitted to the reception of the French Institute of Cameroon with the applicant’s name and contact details, no later than 29 March 2019.
