(Business in Cameroon) - Speaking Feb. 10 on the eve of the 53rd edition of the youth festival, Cameroonian President Paul Biya (photo) announced the creation of 500,000 jobs throughout this year, roughly the same number as in 2018.

“More than 500,000 jobs were created in 2018 thanks to major ongoing projects, agricultural, road and infrastructure projects as well as works carried out by decentralized local authorities,” the head of State said, reassuring that “the government will continue operationalizing a forward-looking employment management system.”

“The key points of the priority action plan of the national employment policy will continue to be implemented,” he concluded.
