(Business in Cameroon) - Despite being one of the five leading banks in Cameroon Société commerciale de banque (SCB Cameroun), a subsidiary of Attijariwafa Bank is just a minnow in the Moroccan banking group’s assets.

Indeed, in the briefing note published by the bank on the sidelines of the issuance of AED1.2 billion (CFA69.4 billion) subordinated bonds in 2017, it was revealed that SCB Cameroun represents 1.9% of the total balance sheet.

In the same note, the group revealed that the Cameroonian subsidiary contributes to 3.5% of its overall net result and 3.4% of the net banking income.
