(Business in Cameroon) - In June 2019, BEAC’s liquidity injections into commercial banks operating within CEMAC was XAF335.2 billion. According to the official report just published by the central bank of CEMAC countries, this volume is down from the XAF340.7 billion recorded in May 2019.

This decrease was spurred by the payment of certain debts to companies by public administrations.

These payments boosted the companies’ cash-flow thereby reducing their liquidity needs. Consequently, their recourse to commercial banks for liquidity needs has decreased.
