(Business in Cameroon) - The women's national football team of Cameroon was beaten on 3 December 2016 in Yaoundé, the capital of the country, by the Super Falcons of Nigeria. It was during the final of the 10th edition of the Africa Women's Cup of Nations (AfCON) which started on 19 November.
A single goal by Nigerian striker Oparanozié, scored six minutes prior to the end of a match open to the Cameroonians, dashed the hope of the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, to win their first ever women's AfCON trophy which Nigeria lifted for the 8th time this year.
In the absence of a final victory of its national team, Cameroon, based on the opinion of the African football community, won during this competition on the quality of the infrastructure, accommodation structures and above all, the rallying and enthusiasm of the population throughout the competition.
