(Business in Cameroon) - A new player has just entered Cameroon’s domestic gas market. It is the oil company Bocom which now sells gas in its gas stations across the country.

The arrival of this operator in this market is consecutive to the construction of a domestic gas filling plant in Douala, the economic capital, good sources reveal.

Bocom then allows the diversification of domestic gas suppliers in the country, by winning market shares of Société camerounaise de transformation métallique (SCTM), the leader of domestic gas’ market, which has caused inconveniences to housewives due to a retail network often defective.
