(Business in Cameroon) - Telcar Cocoa, a local company trading on behalf of the international firm Cargill, increased its capital, which thus moved from FCfa 300 million to FCfa 1.4 billion, we learned through a legal notice published on 22 December 2015.

Though the method used for this capital increase was not disclosed, the operation should help in strengthening Telcar Cocoa's leadership in the cocoa export business and promotion of certified cocoa production in Cameroon.

Telcar Cocoa is managed by Kate Fotso (photo), who was the star of the last International Festival of Cameroonian Cocoa (Festocacao), organised from 3 to 5 December 2015 in Yaoundé, and whose theme was "the Cameroonian woman in the cocoa business", a way of honouring the women who stand out in this sector dominated by men.
