(Business in Cameroon) - Part of the Douala-Yaoundé highway which is under construction is still occupied by residents waiting to receive compensation from the project’s promoters.

This is one of the major problems that the company in charge of the construction of the first portion of the motorway exposed to Abba Sadou, Cameroon’s minister of public works, on February 8, 2018.

Because the premises have not yet been vacated, the construction firm is not advancing as it normally should,” Abba Sadou confessed while visiting the site concerned. He however rejoiced on the occasion of quality of works completed on the first 20 kilometers of the infrastructure.

You drove over 20 kilometers which are already completed. The remaining 20 km are also considerably advanced”, the minister commented.
