(Business in Cameroon) - The minister of mines Ernest Gbwaboubou has just signed a note according to which the managing directors of companies which use explosive materials can now submit their files (license application, stocks and exemption request) at the regional representation of the said ministry.  Those representations will then transmit the files to the central administration via the prefects of the regions. This is a revolution in an environment where all the companies even in the farthest regions were obliged to come to Yaoundé for the various documents delivered by the mines ministry.  However, for substances’ transit operations, the companies are required to send their request to the ministry’s central administration in Yaoundé.
