(Business in Cameroon) - Paul Biya, President of the Republic of Cameroon, recently signed two decrees allowing the Minister of Economy, Alamine Ousmane Mey, to sign two funding agreements worth XAF13.7 billion with Kuwaiti and Saudi financial institutions. The funds will help build and equip the District Hospital Mbalmayo Annex.

The first agreement worth XAF6.659 billion will be signed with the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) while the second, worth XAF6.423 billion, will be signed with the Kuwait Fund for Arab and Economic Development ( KFAED), the presidential decrees issued on June 1, 2021, inform.

The construction of the modern hospital will boost the health offer in the country and provide secondary towns with high-standing health facilities. Indeed, for years now, the best hospitals were only in regional capitals.
