Cameroon’s revenues could increase by CFA242.5 billion in 2019

(Business in Cameroon) - In the 2019 fiscal year, Cameroon’s budget resources could reach CFA4,756 billion against CFA4,513.5 billion in 2018. This was revealed in a report, on the country’s economic situation and prospects, published by the ministry of finance. This represents an increase by CFA242.5 billion.

According to the report, Cameroon expects its internal revenues to stand at CFA3, 423 billion and other revenues (loan and grants) to stand at CFA1,333 billion. As far as the internal revenues is concerned, it comprises CFA380 billion for oil revenues and CFA3,043 billion for non-oil revenues.  

The country plans to spend CFA4,756 billion during the year under review (CFA1,100 billion for current expenditures, CFA1,375 billion for capital expenditures and CFA1,102.5 billion to service the public debt).

In the same wake, Cameroon expects to generate CFA4,879 billion in 2020 (CFA3,733 billion as internal revenues and CFA1,146 billion as loans and grants). That year, it plans to generate CFA434 billion as oil revenues and CFA3,299 billion as non-oil revenues.
