(Business in Cameroon) - Between January and September 2018, non-tax revenues collected by the Cameroonian ministry of finance grew by 64.6% (+XFA58.2 billion) to XAF148.3 billion compared to the same period the previous year.

According to the department’s budget execution document, the strong performance was the result of the “increased monitoring in port fees collection and payment by the concessionaire of the port of Kribi,” commissioned early 2018 in the southern seaside resort.

Let’s recall that the container terminal at the Kribi deep-sea port is operated by KCT (Kribi Container Terminal), controlled by the French-Chinese consortium Bolloré-CHEC-CMA CGM, which was awarded the concession contract for this terminal in August 2015.
