(Business in Cameroon) - The National Votes Counting Commission, the body charged to compile elections’ final results, officially concluded work October 13 in Yaoundé.

According to our sources, the Commission will submit today October 15 its report to the Constitutional Council which will announce official results by October 22 at the latest, in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Code.

However, before the publication of the official results, the Constitutional Council will open tomorrow October 16 the electoral dispute phase in the capital. This will help settle cases on a total or partial election annulment submitted by three opposition candidates (Maurice Kamto, Cabral Libi and Joshua Osih) alleging fraud. The Presidential election, held October 7, saw the participation of nine candidates.
