Cameroon returns on BEAC’s debt market to raise XAF20 bln

(Business in Cameroon) - On September 25, 2019, Cameroon will issue 26-week fungible treasury bills on BEAC’s debt market, official sources reveal.

According to the sources, the country plans to raise XAF20 billion via the issuance of such bills. On September 18, 2019, it had already raised XAF10 billion on the same market at a competitive average rate of 2.2%. This operation was oversubscribed (272%) showing investors’ interest in Cameroon’s public securities.
