According to the press release issued by the group represented in Cameroon by its subsidiary EurOil, it is the «most sizeable quantity of oil ever discovered on the block». The proportion of gas was also very substantial. This news gives a happy ending to its assessment of the Sapele 2 wells. « We are impatiently awaiting the findings of the Sapele 3 wells», declared Kevin Hart, Director General of Bowleven.
Last month, Bowleven announced that it was henceforth taking part in the initiative to maximize the profitability of Cameroon's gas potential, alongside the National Hydrocarbons Company (SNH), and GDF Suez, by introducing liquefied natural gas on the Cameroonian market.
