Cameroon: 1,000 members of defence forces receive training on handmade explosive devices

(Business in Cameroon) - Thousand policemen, constables and firefighters, just completed a 1-year internship offered by international police training network Francopol, created in 2008.

This was to help them fight terrorism, Boko Haram particularly, by training them on handmade explosive devices and their chemical components. Indeed, From the Far-North, the use of explosive devices has extended to other areas (North-West and Southwest) causing hundreds of deaths since 2014.  

The training started in Yaoundé before being delocalized to Maroua, Garoua and Douala. At the end of the training, educational packages of handmade explosive devices were handed to Cameroonian expert trainers.
