(Business in Cameroon) - Alios 01 5.75 % 2018-2023”, the bond issued by lessor Alios Finance Cameroon on the Douala Stock Exchange (DSX) has exceeded expectation, the financial markets commission informed.

Initially targeting XAF8 billion split into 800,000 bonds at XAF10,000 each, the company ended up raising XAF8.730 billion. Subscription period was November 20 to December 11 this year. The operation was arranged by the Investment services provider (ISP) BGFIBank Cameroon.

Let’s note that this feat by Alios Finance comes just after the mixed performance of Douala Metropolitan Investment Company (SMID), which a few months ago was seeking XAF10 billion on the DSX to fund its capital. Indeed, EDC Investment Corp (EDC), which acted as arranger, succeeded in mobilizing only XAF5.414 billion at the closing of the operation July 5, 2018; just over 50% of target.

Yet, the successful operation by Alios Finance Cameroon showed that local investors trust both state and private operations.
