(Business in Cameroon) - In 2017, foreign tourists and visitor spending in Cameroon was valued at CFA337 billion, statistics from World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) showed. The figure is expected to rise by 3.9% this year and the country is expected to attract 1,012,000 international tourists, the organization said. In addition, foreign tourists' spending within the country should increase at a rate of 5.2% per year over the next 10 years.
“By 2028, international tourist arrivals (in Cameroon) are expected to reach 1,438,000, generating expenditures of CFA581.2 billion, an increase by 5.2% per year,” WTTC indicates.
