Cameroonian hardwood exports to the U.S fell 20% y/y in 2018

(Business in Cameroon) - Cameroon’s hardwood exports to the U.S dropped 20% in 2018, the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) notes in its latest market report. Same trend was followed by exports from Ecuador (-23%) or Brazil (5%) to the U.S.

Yet, the international body said, U.S hardwood imports from Malaysia rose 40% over the year.
