(Business in Cameroon) - Cameroonian youth ministry (Minjec) announces the National Youth Observatory is, in partnership with the vocational training center of arts and crafts (Cfam), offering 1,800 youth-centered training scholarships as part of the 3-year “Special Youth” program initiated February 10, 2016 by President Paul Biya.
Of these places, 620 are available in IT segment (office automation secretariat, management secretariat, IT and network maintenance, website creation, application programming), 280 in the management area (human resources management, project development, accounting and business management). Other 500 places are made available in audiovisual sector (multimedia graphics, video editing, TV production, graphics and production) while 400 scholarships in competition are granted in beauty training (aesthetics, hairstyling, cosmetics).
The scholarships cover training fees in the focus domains. “Since admission is based on a file review, all candidates regularly registered on the Youth Observatory platform will pay XAF25,000 for the file review and XAF5,000 for the uniform. Admission deadline is April 1, 2019,” said the youth department.
The 3-year “Special Youth” program is valued at XAF102 billion and aims to support a total of 1.5 million young people in Cameroon, 500,000 persons per year.
