Cameroon: Maetur awards new contract to China Road and Bridge Corporation

(Business in Cameroon) - Chinese firm China Road and Bridge Corporation recently won a contract including works for land dredging and road construction, as part of first phase of a project to construct low-income housing in Mbanga Bakoko, in the suburb of Yaoundé, Cameroon’s capital city.

This deal awarded by the Urban and Rural Land Development and Servicing Mission (Maetur), according to the release published by Maetur Managing Director, Louis Roger Manga, is worth more than 765 million FCFA. Deadline for completion of the project has been set to eight months.

As recalled, the Chinese company was awarded in February 2015, two similar deals for the construction of low-income housing in the district of Olembé, Yaoundé, which were valued to a total amount of 1.7bn FCFA.
