(Business in Cameroon) - Crowned Best Player of the 2016 women's AFCON, organised in Cameroon from 19 November to 3 December 2016, Gabrielle Aboudi Onguéné, who inflamed the Omnisports stadium of Yaoundé during the competition, is among the five finalists of the Glo-CAF Awards, whose results will be given on 5 January 2016 in Abuja, Nigeria.

To succeed to her compatriot Gaëlle Enganamouit, 2015 African Ballon d’Or in women's football, Gabrielle Aboudi Onguéné will have to be chosen over Azizat Oshoala, best scorer of the last women’s AfCON, who appears as the most serious competition to the Cameroonian for this African award.

That is, unless the jury decides to go for another Cameroonian, who also left her mark on the last women's AFCON. This is Raissa Feudjio, who is also in the competition for the 2016 Glo-CAF Ballon d’Or, alongside Ghanaian Elisabeth Addo and South African captain Janine Van Wyk.
